The Artist Behind Your Custom Pet Portraits

I create hand-drawn colored pencil portraits that honor the pets who mean the most to you.

I grew up in a home filled with dogs and cats, and I currently have three cats of my own. Animals have always been part of my life, and that connection is what led me to start creating custom pet portraits.

The first portrait I created was a gift for a family who had just lost their 10-year old dog. That experience showed me how meaningful a custom piece can be.

As a graphic designer and fine artist, I bring strong attention to detail to every portrait I create. Accuracy matters to me, but so does personality. I focus on capturing the subtle expressions and features that make your pet recognizable and true to life.

Each portrait is carefully hand-drawn in colored pencil and layered to create depth, texture and realism. Based in North Carolina, I create portraits for clients locally and ship nationwide.

My goal is simple: when you see the finished piece, it should feel like your pet.

Because pets give us so much, it only feels right to give back. $10 from every portrait commission is donated to local animal shelters in the Raleigh and Charlotte areas.

Kind Words From Clients

“Christa drew a beautiful portrait of my dog that recently passed away. She was so easy to work with and captured her perfectly! We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

— Stephanie T.

“I contacted Christa about doing a pet portrait of my son and daughter-in-law‘s dog, who had recently crossed the rainbow bridge. I sent Christa pictures of Jack and she ran with it. She sent me pictures of the portraits so I could see the progress. She framed and shipped the portrait to my son’s family. I felt her price, which included the shipping, was very fair. She did a wonderful job and captured Jack perfectly!”
